Victorian Cocktails and Medical Curiosities In Brooklyn’s Newest Alamo Drafthouse Cinema

The House of Wax, set to open as part of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema multiplex in New York City, showcases a bar like no other. Featuring over 100 anatomical models salvaged from a 19th-century wax museum in Berlin, the bar's macabre ambiance is unparalleled. Ryan Matthew Cohn, the buyer of this display, has ingeniously integrated the collection into the bar's Victorian décor.

The bar offers a unique experience, with themed cocktails and educational exhibits, reminiscent of panopticum exhibitions from the late 19th century. This distinctive blend of history, art, and mixology aims to captivate visitors and preserve a rare collection.
